Today the Indiana Association of Cities and Towns announced that Huntingburg Mayor Denny Spinner was recently appointed to the association’s Board of Directors.

In a news release IACT Executive Director and CEO Matt Greller said the Huntingburg mayor has been continually impressive with his commitment to Huntingburg and passion for those he serves.  Greller says Spinner’s years of dedication to his community make him an ideal candidate to advocate on behalf of city and town leaders all across the state.

Spinner’s term begins immediately and expires at the end of this year.  He’ll fill the a board vacancy left by the resignation off Sellersburg Clerk-Treasurer David Kinder.

With a history of Huntingburg Mayors having meaningful involvement in IACT, Spinner says it’s an honor to continue the tradition by serving on the association’s board of directors.

Elected in 2011, Spinner is currently serving his first term in office.

IACT also made other appointments to it’s board of directors, including Evansville Mayor Lloyd Winnecke.  Winnecke is filling a vacancy left by Terre Haute Mayor Duke Bennett who was named IACT’s 2nd Vice President earlier this month.
