Springs Valley Bank and Trust Company has announced its plan to build a new banking center in the Valley.

Once the new facility is complete, the current French Lick and West Baden Banking Centers will transition into one convenient location along West State Road 56 in French Lick which is the present site of the boulevard ATM.

The new facility will feature a well designed office space with state-of-the-art banking equipment and conveniences. Safe deposit boxes will be offered at the new location.

Customers who currently have safe deposit boxes will be notified with specific information about the move. In addition, the Bank will continue to maintain the drive up ATM at its present downtown French Lick location.

Chartered in 1902, the West Baden National Bank was originally operated inside the Dome until it moved to its current location in 1917. In 1958, Founder Arnold F. Habig merged the French Lick State Bank and the West Baden National Bank to become a new institution, the Springs Valley National Bank.

Construction is anticipated to begin in the spring with the project completed before year-end. More information about the transition will be available to Springs Valley customers and to the general public in the coming months. Prospective buyers are being entertained for the purchase of the French Lick Banking Center building.
