Last night the Holland Town Council unsealed six bids for grant-funded wastewater rehabilitation work that will upgrade mains and fix a situation involving a lift station on Kentucky Street that occasionally overflows during heavy rains.

The base bids submitted by companies from Indiana and Kentucky ranged from just more than $425,000 to almost $642,000. Those bids were taken under advisement.

A contractor for the collection system rehabilitation and the Kentucky Street lift station replacement could be chosen as soon as at the council’s April meeting, which is slated for 6 p.m. Wednesday at the Holland Town Hall located along Main Street.
