Jasper Office Furniture Company President and CEO Bill Rubino retired last week after more than 40 years at the Jasper-based office furniture company.

Rubino began his JOFCO career in 1972 doing time studies before moving to customer service and then sales. He had been president and CEO of the family-owned company since April 1988, succeeding his brother-in-law, Joseph Steurer.

As an active member of the office furniture industry, Rubino served as a member and past president of the Business and Institutional Furniture Manufacturers Association board.

Earlier this year, JOFCO became a wholly owned subsidiary of the Jasper Group. With Rubino’s retirement, Mike Elliott will take on the role as president of both companies. Rubino will continue as director of Jasper Seating on the company’s board of directors, a position he’s held since 1983.
