Three Dubois County people were taken into custody Wednesday on warrants from Dubois Circuit court charging them with burglary and theft.
36-year old Charles Cole, 27-year-old Connie Kingsbury and 18-year-old Dennis J.D. Mason all of rural Celestine were booked into the Dubois County Security Center on warrants charging each with a Class B felony count of burglary and a Class D felony count of theft. Police said Kingsburg and Mason turned themselves in at the security center Wednesday morning and Cole was taken into custody in the afternoon while he was at the courthouse for an unrelated matter.
The charges stem from a January 29th burglary of a Jasper-area man’s apartment in which a safe containing a large sum of money was taken. The empty safe was later recovered in a wooded area and a Dubois County Sheriff’s Department investigation led to arrest warrants being issued for Cole, Kingsbury and Mason.
Kingsbury and Mason remained in the security center today. Cole posted bond Wednesday afternoon.
