Jasper Police Seek Help in Park Vandalism Case

Public assistance is requested as the Jasper Police Department looks for the person or person’s responsible for staring a fire Friday night that burned the contents of a trash can on the southeast side of the shelterhouse at Bohnert Park along┬áRumbach Avenue and Meridian Road.

Police say just before 11:30 pm a male wearing a navy jacket, dark blue jeans and a black sock cap and another unidentified person used a lighter to start the fire that melted the trash can. Minimal damage was done to the shelterhouse.

Damage was estimated at $600.
