One person was injured in a two-car accident near St. Henry yesterday afternoon.

Dubois County Sheriff’s deputies say Rachel James of Bristow was traveling westbound on County Road 1100 South east of US 231 just after 3:40 pm yesterday when the accident took place. Deputies say Chelsea Wallace of Huntingburg was in a private driveway attempting to pull out onto County Road 1100 South and pulled into the path of James’ vehicle. The collision caused James’ vehicle to go left of center and off of the southside of the road into a nearby field.

James complained of pain, but refused medical treatment at the scene. No other injuries were reported. Wallace’s car suffered $2,500 in damages and James’ car suffered $3,500 in damages. No charges were filed.

Dubois County Sheriff’s deputies were assisted at the scene by the St. Henry Fire Department, St. Henry First Responders, and Memorial Hospital EMS.
