On Saturday, Celestine held the 170th edition of its Street Fest event.

Pedal TractorThe event got underway Saturday morning at 8 am with a 5K run/walk which started at the Happy Hour parking lot. Other featured events from the Street Fest included kids races, a bratwurst eating contest, and an adult tractor pull at 3:30 pm.

The event also played host to the WBDC Cornhole Tournament of Champions and the third stop of 11 on this year’s tour. Team Longshots, comprised of Ryan Harpenau of Jasper and Johnny Chumbley of Birdseye, defeated team Grandpas in the finals. Longshots becomes the third Tractor Trailerteam to advance to the championship round of the WBDC Cornhole Tournament of Champions that is set to be held September 28th at the Huntingburg Herbst Fest. SteelerNation and Bounty Hunters have advanced by virtue of their wins at the St. Henry Heinrichsdorf Fest and the Ferdinand Heimatfest, respectively. The tournament also includes an Amateur Division, but there were no entries in that division for the Street Fest.

The fourth round of the WBDC Cornhole Tournament of Champions is set to take place on July 12th at the Haysville Summer Fest. Registration for that event will begin at 6 pm and throwing is set for 7 pm. The cost per team is $10 for the Pro Division and all players must be 18 or older.
