This weekend, members of the 2013 Dubois County Leadership Academy will be sponsoring a safety stroll through Jasper to support their cause.

The group is seeking to create a system of Emergency Assistance lighted Towers for Dubois County. These towers would seek to reduce the impact of a serious accident, medical emergency, or threat of potential harm on walking paths all across the county.

The stroll will start at 8 am this Saturday, July 20th and will start at the Riverwalk Plaza. The stroll will go from the Plaza north to 15th Street and then back again.

There is no cost to participate in the stroll, however donations are being accepted. Donations may be mailed to the Dubois County Community Foundation, care of the DCLA Emergency Assistance Tower Fund, 600 McCrillus Street in Jasper, Indiana 47547.
