A car on the side of the road near Holland led to the arrest of the driver on intoxication charges over the weekend.
Dubois County Sheriff’s deputies were called to County Road 1150 South just off of State Road 161 in Holland at about 2 pm on Saturday on a report of a highly intoxicated woman passed out in her vehicle. County K-9 “Judge” was called to the scene after a short investigation and deputies found crystal methamphetamine, pills, and drug paraphernelia inside of the vehicle. The woman, identified as 33-year-old Ruth Allen of Evansville, was lodged in the Dubois County Security Center. She faces Class D felonies for possession of meth, possession of a schedule IV controlled substance, and possession of paraphernelia.
Holland First Responders, Memorial Hospital EMS, and a KARS Wrecker assisted at the scene.
