Officials with the Indiana Department of Transportation say the southbound ramp from Interstate 69 onto U.S. Highway 50 at Washington in Daviess County will be closing later this month for concrete repairs.
INDOT contractors will be making the repairs as a part of closing out Interstate 69 construction contracts. It is anticipated that the ramp will be closed from Friday, July 26th through Tuesday, July 30th weather permitting.
Contractor crews will also close the driving lane of eastbound U.S. 50. Construction will begin at approximately 6 a.m. on Friday, July 26. The closure will continue once crews leave the site to allow concrete to cure before the I-69 exit ramp and U.S. 50 driving lane re-open to traffic, which is estimated by 7 p.m. on Tuesday, July 30.
During the ramp closure, I-69 southbound traffic will be detoured using southbound I-69, S.R. 61, S.R. 57 and U.S. 50.
