16 counties across Indiana, including Knox County, will now receive funds from the state’s disaster relief fund stemming from April flood damage.

Governor Mike Pence’s office said several counties sustained damage in floods that occurred statewide back on April 17th.

The funding was announced yesterday. Pence’s office cited strained resources for local government units across the state as a reason for the funding.

Almost 400 thousand dollars has been awarded to date for assistance.
