A semi accident on Thursday afternoon in Martin County caused the truck to roll over and the driver to suffer injuries.
Martin County Sheriff’s deputies say 53-year-old Larry Snyder of Fredericksburg, IN was traveling along US Highway 150 west of Panhandle Road at 1:45 pm on Thursday when the accident took place.
Deputies say the semi’s brake failure, unsafe speed, and the wet pavement caused Snyder to lose control of his semi. The truck went off of the southside of the roadway and rolled onto its left side, sliding down an embankment and hitting three state highway signs before finally coming to rest. No word was available on the extent of Snyder’s injuries.
The Shoals Volunteer Fire Department, the Lost River Volunteer Fire Department, Martin County Civil Defense, Martin County EMS, and G&M Wrecker Service all assisted at the scene.
