Last night, Huntingburg mayor Denny Spinner gave the annual State of the City address at Huntingburg’s Old Town Hall. Spinner touched on the railroad overpass project as well as many positives in the city over the last year. Spinner says that although there are some concerns for the city moving forward, strides have been made thanks to recent listening sessions held for city residents:

Spinner says future plans will include improvements to the current police and fire stations as well as some improvements to the street department. However, he says the biggest area of concern for the City of Huntingburg going forward is work on the city’s comprehensive plan as well as work on the downtown revitalization project. Spinner says the help of the community is what will make the changes a reality:

Spinner says more listening sessions and meeetings will be available in the future for residents to voice their opinions.
