Orleans Man Arrested for Firing Shots in Home

Indiana State Police arrested an Orleans man Thursday afternoon after responding to a report of an individual firing a 12-gauge shotgun from inside his residence.

31-year old Justin Bush was still firing the gun when police responding to a 911 call arrived at his Oak Street home just after 5:30 pm. Police say after a brief standoff, Bush was taken into custody.

State police booked Bush into the Orange County Jail on a Class D felony count of criminal recklessness with a firearm.

No one was injured in the incident and no one else was inside the residence when the shots were fired, police said.

The Orange County Sheriff’s Department and the Orleans Police Department assisted at the scene.
