Tomorrow, Purdue Extension in cooperation with the Dubois, Spencer, and Perry County Soil and Water Conservation Districts will be holding their 2013 Greener Pastures Field Day.
The event will feature topics on livestock, forage, and grazing. Some of the specific topics will include “Rotational Grazing and Water Systems” by NRCS Grazing Specialist Robert Zupancic, “Goat Production and Management” by Ken Adries of Kentucky State University, “Animal Health and Feeding” by Jason Tower of the Southern Indiana Purdue Ag Center, and “Cover Crops and Grazing” by area producer Roger Robinson.
The program is set to be held tomorrow evening starting at 5 pm central time at the Justin Roth Farm in the 4500 block of West Eureka Road in Rockport. The program costs $5 per person, which includes a meal catered from Moonlight BBQ of Owensboro. Knox County Purdue Extension Educator Valerie Clingerman will present on weed management and herbicide resistence during the meal.
