Man Injured in Friday Night Crash Near Dubois

A one car crash on Friday evening near Dubois resulted in the driver being injured.

Indiana State Police say 50-year-old Patrick Friedman of Dubois was driving a 1978 Corvette southbound along State Road 545 near County Road 450 North just before 5:25 pm on Friday when the accident took place.

Troopers say Friedman allegedly reached down to plug in a cell phone and drove off of the side of the road while doing so where he hit a tree. Friedman was airlifted to St. Mary’s Hospital in Evansville where he was treated for non-life threatening injuries. His Corvette was a total loss.

The Dubois Fire Department and Memorial Hospital EMS assisted at the scene.
