One Injured in Two Vehicle Accident

A two vehicle accident in Jasper yesterday afternoon resulted in one person being injured.

Jasper Police say 49-year-old Cheryl Kluemper of Jasper was northbound on Kellerville Road just before 7:10 pm last night when the accident occurred. Police say that while turning westbound onto Cathy Lane, Kluemper failed to see a vehicle being driven by 44-year-old Christine Hamilton of Jasper, who was southbound on Kellerville Road. The two vehicles collided head-on.

Kluemper suffered airbag-related injuries in the crash and was taken to Memorial Hospital for treatment. Hamilton was not injured.

Kluemper’s car suffered 15 thousand dollars worth of damages while Hamilton’s car suffered 8 thousand dollars worth of damage. Kluemper was cited for failure to yield the right of way while Hamilton was cited for operating a vehicle without financial responsibility.
