A report of a dispute at a Jasper hotel resulted in one woman’s arrest.
Jasper Police were called to the Camelot Inn in the 2200 block of Mill Street at 7:30 pm last night on a report of a dispute taking place. When they arrived, police found 32-year-old Jennifer Carter of Birdseye at the location involved in a dispute. After it was found that she had no contractual interest at the location, Carter was removed from the property by police. She was then given notice in regards to criminal trespassing and told by police not to go back.
Well at 10:30 pm last night, officers were called back to the Camelot Inn on reports that Carter was causing a disturbance by yelling at various occupants of the hotel. Police were also told that Carter had tried to enter one of the rooms.
Carter was found on the Jasper Municipal Golf Course and was taken into custody. She was lodged in the Dubois County Security Center on a Class D felony count for Attempted Residential Entry, a Class B Misdemeanor for Criminal Mischief, and a Class A Misdemeanor for Criminal Trespassing.
