A new festival celebrating Hispanic culture is starting today in the City of Huntingburg.

The inaugural Hispanic Culture Festival gets underway this evening starting at 6 pm with the opening ceremonies. The event will take place along Market Street in Huntingburg, behind Old Town Hall.

The schedule of events for this evening at the Hispanic Culture Fest is as follows:

6 pm Opening Ceremony

7 pm Presentation by Mount Sinai group

8 pm Presentation by Cicion de la Sierra

9 pm Performance by El Gran Pepe

As mentioned earlier, the event runs tonight through tomorrow. Tomorrow’s schedule includes, but is not limited to, a soccer tournament starting at 8 am at Huntingburg City Park, performances by El Gran Pepe and DJ Sonido Rojo, and presentations by New Vision Church and New Life Church.

Traditional Hispanic food will be served throughout the course of the fest.
