Hunter Education Classes Taking Place Across SW Indiana

A pair of hunter education classes are set to be offered in our listening area later this month.

The Doverhill Christian Union Church in conjunction with West Boggs Park are sponsoring a hunter’s education course September 12th through the 14th. The class will run from 6 til 9:30 pm on the 12th and 13th and will run from 8 am to 4 pm on the 14th. To be certified, one must attend all of the classes. Indiana Conservation Officers and volunteer instructors will teach the class. People of all ages are welcome to take the course.

Additionally, the Celestine Community Club will be sponsoring a hunter education class towards the end of this month.

Those classes will also be held from 6 to 9:30 pm and will take place on September 23rd, 24th, and 26th. Attendance to all classes will be required for certification. These classes will also be taught by Indiana Conservation Officers as well as volunteer instructors.

Anyone born after December 31st, 1986 must take the course before they are allowed to purchase an Indiana hunting license. Though all ages are welcome, the class will be geared towards the younger generation of hunters. Please bring a writing utensil to the class sessions. Pre-registration is required and refreshments will be provided at the classes.
