An accident near a rural Dubois County intersection overnight resulted in one person suffering minor injuries.
Dubois County Sheriff’s deputies say 32-year-old Mirian Miranda De Fatima was northbound along County Road 350 West approaching a curve that turns into County Road 100 South just before 1 am this morning when the accident occurred.
Deputies say De Fatima told them that she was tired from working all night and slammed on her brakes when she reached the curve, causing her to lose control of her vehicle. De Fatima’s vehicle went off of the southside of the roadway and down an embankment before coming to rest in a ditch.
De Fatima suffered injuries to her left lower arm according to sheriff’s deputies, though she refused medical treatment at the scene. Her car was totalled in the crash.
