This weekend marks a big event for a local arts and crafts organization.

The Four Rivers Arts and Crafts Association will be holding its 37th annual Harvest Home Festival from 10 am to 4 pm on both Saturday and Sunday (October 19th and 20th). The festival is set to take place at the Dubois County 4H Fairgrounds.

More than 200 vendors will be participating in this event. They work in areas such as wood, clay, fabrics, yarns, wax, metals, glass, ceramics, rough rock, paints, pottery, natural materials, rattan, dyes, and inks. This year’s event also features several food items and these will include barbecue, roast beef, bratwurst, corn dogs, chili, ribbon fries, nachoes, chicken, hamburgers, and hot dogs. Oreos and Twinkies, along with fudge, baked goods, candy, gourmet popcorn, and kettle corn among other items will also be available for purchase.

Throughout the day, craftspeople will demonstrate their skills by taking part in loom weaving, wood carving, and rustic furniture making.
