Jasper Man Wanted on Dubois and Vanderburgh County Warrants Arrested

The search for a Jasper man wanted on warrants in multiple counties, including rape and sexual battery warrants in Dubois County, has ended.

28-year-old Randall Kratzer Jr. was arrested in Chandler (in Warrick County) at 9:30 this morning by a task force that consisted of Indiana State Police troopers and US Marshals after receiving an anonymous tip on his location. According to authorities, Kratzer Jr was taken into custody without incident.

Jasper Police released information last Friday in order to recieve tips on Kratzer’s whereabouts. According to police, Kratzer Jr forced Randall Kratzerhis way into his estranged wife’s apartment on the northside of Jasper back on August 30th. He then battered and raped the woman. She was able to escape and called police from a neighboring apartment.

Kratzer was lodged in the Vanderburgh County Jail on outstanding warrants in Vanderburgh County for auto theft. He will be brought to Dubois County at a later date to answer to the rape and sexual battery charges.

Jasper Police want to thank the public for tips that were recieved over the last week concerning Kratzer Jr’s whereabouts. They also wish to thank the numerous other police departments that helped in the search.
