EVANSVILLE, Ind. (AP) – Authorities say the driver of a sport utility vehicle was killed in southern Indiana when the vehicle left the road and struck a concrete overpass support.
The Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s Office says the driver was traveling south on Interstate 164 north of Evansville when the accident occurred shortly before 1 a.m. Sunday. The sheriff’s office says it doesn’t know why the vehicle left the road. An investigation is continuing.
The Evansville Courier & Press reports (http://bit.ly/1ayLa4X ) the county coroner’s office has identified the victim as Michael Lawrence of Evansville. He was the only person in the vehicle.
