The City of Jasper will be distributing printed calendars for 2014 after all.
After some debate recently, Mayor Terry Seitz says it was a good idea to stay with the calendars. He says comments from the public and requests from some members of the Jasper City Council for a printed version of the calendar led to the decision to go ahead and print the calendars.
Now the calendars will be printed in a smaller quantity than in the past. They will be available at the front desk of Jasper City Hall, the Jasper Utilties Office (both inside and drive-thru), and at the Arnold Habig Community Center during business hours. The calendars will also be available 24 hours a day at the front desk of the Jasper Police Department. The calendars will also be made available online at jasperindiana.gov. Additionally, the city will include its 2014 recycling calendar in its November utility bills.
Seitz says the city will be employing a multi-faceted delivery of city information in the new year as the citizens are very engaged in city activities.
Public notice of the calendars being available will likely be made sometime in mid-December according to city officials.
