A special morning devoted to women’s health is set for next month.

Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center’s “Women of the Heartland” will feature presentations by Dr. Geoffrey Day, Dr. Farah Snyder, and Dr. Zouhair Bibi. It will take place from 9 until 11:30 am Sat January 11th at the Huntingburg Events Center located along East 14th Street in Huntingburg.

Dr. Day, a cardiologist, will present “Getting to the HEART of Women’s Health.” He received his medical degree at University of Louisville School of Medicine and completed a residency in internal medicine at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine in Nashville.

Dr. Snyder is an obstetrician and gynecologist. She will share “Getting the Facts on Osteoporosis.” Dr. Snyder received her medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis.

And Dr. Bibi will discuss “Diabetes Prevention and Management.” He received his medical degree from Eberhard-Karis University in Tubingen, West Germany.

Women who pre-register by January 6th will receive a gift certificate for free blood screening including total cholesterol, HDL, LDL, triglycerides, and blood glucose at Memorial Hospital’s Outpatient Lab.

In lieu of an admission fee, donations will be accepted for the Integrative Medicine program at the Phillip R. Dawkins Heart & Vascular Center at Memorial Hospital. Light refreshments will be served.
