This year’s Ferdinand Folk Festival lineup has now been announced.

Hayes Carll and his band are set to be the headliners for this year’s 5th edition of the Ferdinand Folk Fest. Carll, a Texas native, brings an Americana sound that has already garnered some national attention. His album “K-Mag Yo Yo” (released back in 2011) was named as the album of the year that year by the Americana Music Association.

The show will also have some local flavor as Jasper-based group “The Sisters of 2nd Avenue” will be opening the fest this year.

Other bands in the lineup are:

- Wyvern (Evansville)

- Wild Carrot (Cincinnati)

- Andrea Davidson (Louisville)

-The Leonard Washingtons (Terre Haute) featuring Forest Park grad Eric Schatz

- Miles Nielsen and the Rusted Hearts (Rockford, IL) son of Rick Nielsen from Cheap Trick

This year’s Folk Festival will once again be held at Ferdinand’s 18th Street Park. In addition to the Main Stage, there will also be the Market Stage where vendors are set up. This year’s Ferdinand Folk Festival is set for Saturday September 20th.
