A Birdseye teen was taken to the hospital following an accident near Ferdinand yesterday afternoon.
Deputies say 16-year-old Savannah Voegerl of Birdseye was northbound along Club Road at 3:10 pm when she says the left rear tire on her vehicle popped. The tire pop caused Voegerl to lose control of her vehicle. It then went left of center and then off of the west side of Club Road where it hit a tree. The impact caused Voegerl’s vehicle to roll over before it came to rest up-right facing south.
Voegerl was taken to Memorial Hospital for treatment of pain in her head, lower back, and left leg. Her vehicle was a total loss.
Ferdinand Police, Ferdinand First Responders, Memorial Hospital EMS, and Berg’s Wrecker Service also assisted.
