H’burg Woman Arrested on Battery Charges

A Huntingburg woman was taken into custody last night after she assaulted a man at her apartment.

Just after 6:10 last night, Huntingburg Police were called to a residence in the 500 block of East 7th Street. Police say Ryan Marcum, who was at the residence was bleeding from a cut on his left hand. Marcum told officers he and a woman at the residence (57-year-old Cynthia Flores) were watching TV when Cynthia FloresFlores starting cursing at the show that was on. When Marcum said something to her about it, Flores took a glass cup and threw it at Marcum, cutting his left hand and leaving a knot on his right elbow after the glass shattered. Flores told officers the whole thing was an accident.

Flores was taken into custody and was lodged in the Dubois County Security Center. She faces a Class A misdemeanor for battery. Marcum declined medical treatment.
