Dubois County Sheriff’s deputies have identified someone who may have accidentally taken money from a Jasper business last week.
Deputies say they have reviewed video of the incident, which happened back on July 23rd at the Jasper WalMart when a customer accidentally left an undisclosed amount of money at the business. They say a man with white hair wearing an Indiana University t-shirt and blue jeans as he left the WalMart may have come into possession of the money. The man then drove away in a burgundy color sedan.
Now deputies say previous tips from the public originally led them to a woman from Huntingburg. Deputies have ruled out her involvement in the case.
Of course, the case is being investigated by Detective John Anderson, who says its his goal to return the money to its rightful owner. Anyone who has any information is asked to call (812)-482-3522.
You can reach Detective Anderson on his cell phone at (812)-639-9055.
