Larry P. Boehm, age 67, of Jasper, Indiana passed away at 10:11 a.m. on Wednesday (February 25, 2015) in Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center.
 
Larry was born in Huntingburg, Indiana on August 17, 1947 to  Edward H. and Dorothy (Seifert) Boehm.   He married Becky Schmitt on August 8, 1970 in Holy Family Catholic Church in Jasper, Indiana.
 
Larry was a member of the United States Navy serving from 1965-1968, and during the Vietnam War.
 
Larry retired to Florida in 2003 from Coca-Cola, where he had been a salesman for 34 years.
 
He was a member of the Jasper High School Class of 1965, St. Joseph’s Catholic Church and the Dale American Legion Post #444.
 
He was an avid golfer, enjoyed traveling, college football and basketball, going to the casino, and he never met a person he couldn’t talk to.

Funeral services for Larry P. Boehm will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday (February 28, 2015) at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with entombment to follow in the Fairview Cemetery Mausoleum in Jasper.  The Jasper American Legion Post #147 will conduct military gravesite rites. 
 
Friends may call from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday (February 27, 2015) at the Becher-Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper, Indiana and one hour before services from 9:00-10:00 a.m. at the church.

Melvin “Mel” K. Bolling, age 82, of Huntingburg, formerly of Holland, passed away at 8:35 a.m., on Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper.

He was born May 6, 1932 in Holland, Indiana, to Karl and Dora (Hemmer) Bolling.  He married Carol A. Bauernfiend on September 22, 1956 at Salem United Church of Christ in Huntingburg.  Mel was employed in the advertising department of Holland Dairy, as a sales representative for WTVW Channel 7, and as a self-employed sales and advertising representative.  He was an active member of St. James Lutheran Church in Holland where he served on the church council and sang in the choir; a past member of the Holland Kiwanis Club; a 60 year member of the Holland American Legion Post #343 and former Honor Guardsman on the Legion’s Memorial Detail; served in the United States Navy during the Korean War; and was an avid sports fan and participant, sharing his enthusiasm and love of sports in his published book, “Winning is Forever”, a history of Holland High School basketball.

Mary Jean Bockelman, age 87, of Jasper, Indiana passed away at 12:22 a.m. on Tuesday (February 24, 2015) at Memorial Hospital and Healthcare Center in Jasper, IN.
 
Mary was born on November 19, 1927 in Washington, Indiana to Harold and Lena (McCray) Armes.  She married Anton J. Bockelman on April 14, 1953 in Jasper, Indiana.  He preceded her in death on December 2, 2014.
 
She was a homemaker and a member of Precious Blood Catholic Church and their Ladies Sodality.
 
She enjoyed reading, embroidery, traveling, and flowers.

Rudolph, john3
John K. Rudolph, age 73 of Ireland, Indiana, passed away at 4:30 a.m. on Monday (February 23, 2015) at home.
 
John was born on September 17, 1941 in Ireland, IN to Lenas and Marian (Leinenbach) Rudolph.   
 
John was a retired salesman and worked on his family farm. 
 
He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Ireland, IN.
 
He was an active member of the Ireland Volunteer Fire Department for over 20 years, and a member of the Indiana Volunteer Firefighters Association for 49 years.  He was also a member of the Indiana Army National Guard. 
 
He was the founding member of the J.R.’s Outback Kitchen Men’s Club.  He was an original member of the St. Patrick’ s Planning Committee in Ireland, IN.
 
He enjoyed cooking, entertaining, fishing, and gardening.

Norman V. Lange, 79 of Ferdinand passed away Tuesday February 24, 2015 in Memorial Hospital & Health Care Center, Jasper. He was born April 13,1935 in Ferdinand to Herman & Ida (Begle) Lange. He married Sharon M. Rogier on August 22,1987 in St. Isidore Catholic Church in Bristow, In.

Norman retired from Styline Furniture, Manufacturing Division after 46 years. He was a member of St. Ferdinand Parish. He enjoyed watching game shows, attending car shows, and especially loved Corvettes. He enjoyed being with his family & friends.

Surviving are his wife Sharon M. Lange. 1 daughter, Holly Lange of Ferdinand. 2 sisters, Bernita Metz and husband Linus of St. Anthony, & Lastie Carl of New Albany. 1 brother, Donald Hoppenjans and wife Ann of Ferdinand. Sister-in-laws, Aleene Lange and Anna Lange both of Ferdinand.

He was preceded in death by 4 brothers, Richard, Alfred “Shorty”, John, & Ernest Lange. 1 sister, Hermina “Minnie” Hoppenjans

Sammie “Sam” Ridenour, age 76, of Wickliffe, Indiana, passed away Thursday, February 19, 2015 at his residence in Casa Grande, Arizona.

He was born April 15, 1938 in Crawford County, Indiana, to Phillip and Bertha (Main) Ridenour.  He married Sharon K. Walters on October 3, 1981 in Brownsburg, Indiana.  Sam was a retired industrial and commercial electrician.  He was a member of the Birdseye Christian Church; enjoyed woodworking as a hobby; and was a United States Army veteran of the Korean War.  Sam was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Veneda Schanck; and one step granddaughter.

Virlee M. Schwartz, age 77, of Huntingburg, passed away at 5:35 p.m., on Friday, February 20, 2015 at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper.

She was born January 9, 1938 in St. Anthony, Indiana, to Emil and Anna (Metz) Wessel.  She married Urban Schwartz on November 7, 1959 in Schnellville.  Virlee was a farmer and also worked at Jasper Wood Products.  She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church; an antique car enthusiast; enjoyed collecting antiques; and loved her pets.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Urban Schwartz, who passed away March 5, 1992; and one sister, Rose Ann Pund.

She is survived by:

and by nieces and nephews.
